Crazy 'Round Here

I'm going to start eating better.  It's a big deal, you know.  I believe that the food we eat has a huge impact on the way we feel, physically and emotionaly.  Really. As Chandler used to say "True. Period."  I have no idea how to eat right.  Doesn't that sound strange?  It's true, though.  I have lived on fried food, and fast food for so long, that it feels like that's all there is.  I know that the possibilities are endless, and that I'll find my way, but it feels pretty overwhelming right now.

I'm also going to start exercising.  And I'm going to like it.

Did you hear that Usama Bin Laden was killed yesterday? Wow.

A couple of weeks ago, Russell and I took the kids, with Mariah, who was with us for the weekend, up to Lake Texoma.  We went up to Eisenhower State Park and played.  We learned that there are some super cool places to explore up there, and we were woefully unprepared, but we had a blast!
Lucky for us, Mariah has a great phone, with a much better camera than mine has, because I forgot our camera!

Here she is, after she conquered the rocks full of mussles.  I say she "conquered", but actually she, Carter, and Conner all came away with pretty sliced up toes and feet.  I decided against posting those pictures here, but we left a nice amount of blood on the rocks.
Again, I say, woefully unprepared...

Carter, as he tried to make it out to the rock, slicing his toes all the while.
Makenna, who opted not to venture into the water, but collected the shells from the dry land.
Oh, if you only had a soundtrack to go along with this one.
Lucky for Conner, Mariah was out there to save him, when he went all the way in.
There was this awesome rock that someone had chisled foot holds into.  The kids had fun trying to make it all the way up.  Chandler did awesome, especially because he had on his Converse, which have no traction at all!
Under the rock "wall" was this little cave.  Love this picture!
Gotta love Carter and his totally cool caveman club.
Russell skipped some pretty great rocks.
And managed to teach a couple of the kids...
Remember what I said earlier about eating healthy and exercising?  Yeah.
On the way home, we stopped in Sherman to eat at Logan's Roadhouse.  Makenna got a little carried away opening her straw, and it ended up in her eye.  It was pretty painful, but luckily she was ok.
We had a really great time, and had planned to head back up there this week, better prepared this time, but it's been raining for about 12 hours, and everything's a soggy mess, so I'm not sure that's going to happen.
