Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. For the first time in forever we have planned a quiet day at home. Just Russell and I and the kids. I plan to make a roast for dinner tomorrow night, and we'll watch "Oh, Holy Night". (It's a short DVD I bought at the Church Book Store) We'll open our family gifts, read our Christmas Eve tradition books, make cookies for Santa, and drink hot chocolate by the fire. Sounds wonderful.
Things have been as they always are this time of year, but I've been too scatterbrained to carry my camera so I don't have many pictures. I'll do better the next couple of days!!
I do have one photo update:
This is Misty.
I need to get a full body shot of her, but can't get her to be still long enough! She is an Alaskan Klee Kai, just in case you're wondering. Basically it's like a miniature Husky. She'll probably be about 14-15 lbs. when she's grown. I know that we've gone through several dogs since we lost Dallas, but now we're done. I promise. I've wanted a Klee Kai for about 4 years, and I finally got one, so I'll be keeping her. She's in the family room "talking" to the kids right now. So funny.
I'm feeling a bit homesick again. I guess it's the time of year. We haven't been to Silver Dollar City at Christmas for two years now. It's so crazy because we went every single year since before we got married, so it really feels like that's missing at Christmas time. I also really miss the people from our ward there. We had such a great ward. Can I just say "who loves Erasure"?
Have a fabulous Christmas everyone!
