A Big Wind and a Giant...And A Couple Other Goodies

"You're never going to believe what happened to me today!" said the little gecko to his friend. "I was just sitting there under the doggy door and suddenly this big wind sucked me up! Really! I flew so fast until I smacked into something, a little plastic thing that was stuck. All of the sudden the wind stopped, and then the whole thing started shaking and moving around! The whole thing just tipped and I fell into....THE HAND OF A REAL GIANT! I'm serious! I was all dazed and scared so I just sat there. I did move all of my legs to make sure they still worked. I just knew I was toast. But no, the giant, after flashing a really bright light in my face, actually took me outside and set me down. Can you believe it? I lived to tell this tale!"

"Liar" said his friend.

I love sleep. I really do. More than I should, probably.
THIS is why we have a dog...

And THIS is why I don't ever feel very rested, I suspect. Thanks for the picture, Russell.
And HOLY COW I look like my mother!
OK, one more thing. As you may have heard, I have five kids. Four of them are in school this year. A 6th grader, a 3rd grader, a 1st grader, and a Kindergartner. It didn't take me long to realize, if I didn't get organized, we'd have some sort of major issue. Seriously major. So this is what I did. Aren't I so creative?
THIS is my binder.
When I open my binder, there is a pen along with the school menu, and any other temporary papers. (Permission slips, invitations, etc.) The first thing I see is my custom-made Disney calendar. It's totally awesome. If you wish you had one, let me know and I'll make you one. I'm nice like that. Here I have birthdays and holidays identified with very cute Disney people, and I keep notes of all important stuff.
If I flip to the back of my calendar, I have the school's monthly calendar. It's more information than I really need, but it tells me what "specials" class my kids have every day. Here I make a star on the days when kids have P.E. and need to wear tennis shoes. (Sorry the picture is sideways-my bad)

Then I have a pocket folder thingy from a spiral notebook, just for other extra stuff. (Again with the sideways picture)
After the pocket thingy, I have a divider marked with each child's name. Here I keep all notes home, all references for said child, and also anything that's so cute I can't bear to part with it.

At then end of the 2009-2010 school year, I shall remove everything and put it in the proper child's own "Book of Remembrance". Then my cool binder will be ready for the next year.
Yeah, that's cool all right.

I love it. I think I will try that. Because as you know with that many kids in school you have a million papers floating around. Good job Ashley
