Here's the deal. I love Twilight. I love Edward, and, in the movie, I even love James. (Can't help it-did you SEE him?) Bella sort of annoys me, but that's beside the point. OK, so anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the books and am looking forward to seeing the movie this Friday. BUT-Am I the only one who thought that the author went a little too far with all of the...you know...the...well..the "tearing up of the house" and the "destroying the bed" and the "Rosalie and I went through X amount of houses" business? I was all for my kids reading these books (I have a 14 year old step-daughter) until I got to the fourth one. I don't know, I hated the pregnancy, and I hated all the violent l.o.v.e. stories. I just feel like, as an LDS mom who knew that her book was geared toward teenage girls, she took it all a little far.
So-do you agree with me or am I just being a little (or a lot) "Mollyish"?
